Pelican Place & Company has a story close to the heart. In December 2001, the founder’s mom was diagnosed with lung cancer. During that tough year, she found moments of calm by the ocean, watching pelicans glide over the waves. Those quiet moments became a symbol of peace that would later inspire the name of her workspace—and eventually, her business.
After trying her hand at woodworking and crafts, she discovered candle making in 2019 and instantly fell in love. Sharing her candles with family and friends brought encouragement and confidence, and Pelican Place & Company was born—a tribute to her mom and the peace she left behind.
